ACSS

Advanced Coarse Sun Sensor (ACSS)

The Advanced Coarse Sun Sensor (ACSS) provides reliable sun tracking and spacecraft attitude determination for demanding space missions. It measures the incident angle of sunlight across two orthogonal axes, delivering high sensitivity through its optimized geometrical design.

Engineered for LEO, MEO and GEO missions, the ACSS combines high reliability and radiation hardness with a robust design suited to challenging space environments.

With flight heritage since 2019 and hundreds of flight units delivered, ACSS is a proven, flight-ready solution. Its manufacturing process has been fully industrialized and optimized for high-volume production, making it particularly suitable for constellation programs and missions requiring multiple spacecraft.
