nanoSSOC D60 Rad-Hard

nanoSSOC D60 Rad-Hard

The nano Sun Sensor on a Chip (nanoSSOC-D60 Rad-Hard) is a compact two-axis sun sensor designed for accurate sun tracking and spacecraft attitude determination in demanding space environments.

Based on MEMS technology, the sensor measures the incident angle of sunlight in both azimuth and elevation, providing accurate angular measurements within a highly integrated sensing architecture.

Each sensor is individually characterized and calibrated to ensure consistent and reliable performance. Its radiation-resistant design incorporates materials such as Aluminium 6082 to help minimize ageing caused by exposure to high-energy particle radiation.

Combining compact design, accurate two-axis sensing and enhanced radiation resilience, the nanoSSOC-D60 Rad-Hard provides a practical solution for spacecraft requiring reliable sun-sensing performance in radiation-intensive missions.
