The STAR-D Simulator is a compact, robust and cost-effective Optical Ground Support Equipment (OGSE) designed to support the testing and validation of high-precision Star Trackers under simulated in-orbit conditions.
The system displays complete star fields and reproduces realistic satellite trajectories and star patterns, providing controlled, reliable and repeatable conditions for Star Tracker testing.
Designed as a plug-and-play solution, STAR-D features an intuitive PC interface and can be adapted to different Star Tracker configurations. Its compact architecture simplifies integration into laboratory and flat-sat environments, helping engineering teams reduce testing complexity and streamline ADCS development and validation.
