At Solar MEMS we are continually travelling to learn more and to demonstrate our high-tech products among the most important global companies working in the New Space sector. On this occasion we attended the Space Tech Expo Europe, the largest business-oriented space technology event on the continent, which has been held on 16,17 and 18 November in Bremen (Germany).
The purpose of this professional-only event is to bring together companies and suppliers that work in the space engineering sector and that offer the services and components necessary for the assembly of any space vehicle or satellite.
Space Tech Expo is attended by thousands of industry leaders to meet with suppliers to work on business and synergies. Over 100 exhibiting companies have displayed their latest space technologies and been able to attend meetings as well as conferences, demonstrations and, of course, to visit the stands with professionals from all segments of the aerospace sector.
This edition has given special prominence to Smallsats, which were the protagonists of three days of special conferences dedicated to the latest developments in the European and global space industry. At Solar MEMS we are especially interested in these topics because we develop technologies for small satellites such as the NanoSSOC sun sensor or the star tracker for Nano-Satellites STNS.
More than 75 speakers shared their thoughts and knowledge on subjects of maximum importance for the sector, such as sustainability, space exploration and their future applications, launches and, of course, investment. They included speakers as influential as Pascale Ehrenfreund, the President of the International Astronautical Federation (IAF), the Head of Space Exploration for Airbus Defence and Space, Andreas Hammer, or the Deputy CEO for Programme Delivery de la UK Space Agency, Ian Annette.
For Solar MEMS it is always a pleasure to attend this type of event, which makes our company stronger, both to raise the profile of our products, services and development among the major players in the sector, and for what we can learn from the main companies and organizations in the aerospace industry.
